Hinds’ Feet On High Places (Book Review)

Hab 3:19
The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

This is one of my favorite Bible verses. This promise ignites my soul; someday my mobility will no longer be limited because of the damage from RA. Someday, I too will climb mountains like the deer who live there.

If you are interested, Hannah Hurnard has written a book using this verse as its foundation. There is also a beautifully illustrated children’s book available.

You’ll meet “Much-Afraid” who lives in the “Valley of Humiliation.” Her “crooked mouth and crooked feet” make her long for “hind’s feet” so she can “leap upon the high places” and be with her friend the Shepherd. In this book you follow her journey to realizing that desire.

Hinds’ Feet On High Places is a powerful allegory illustrating God’s love for all his children, no matter their situation.
