Isaiah 61:10 I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Praising the Lord with song brightens my day and brings me closer to His presence. As the verse says, “my soul rejoices in my God” and I need to express that joy. I don’t always remember the words to the hymn I’m singing, but it doesn’t matter to God. He knows my heart.
He wants you too to find delight in Him, to rejoice in your soul for Him. I pray that you discover my “secret” to living joyfully.
Psalm 100:1-2 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
The Bible teaches us that worship is our way to give thanks and praise to God. It is an important part of our relationship with Him. Worship can be both public and private, and everyone has their own way to worship. We can worship God through song, dance, lifting our hands, or any number of other ways. No matter how we express our worship, God receives it and loves it.
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
The last couple of weeks have really tested the strength of my faith…and faith persevered.
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4
We are told in Romans 8:28 “that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Therefore no matter what may be happening in your life, blessings or despair, we are called to “Rejoice in the Lord always.” Every trial is a chance to grow stronger, not only in character, but also in Faith.
Today, I will thank God constantly for all that besets me. How about you, are you willing to join me?
