John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
What a comforting verse, assuring us that the gift of eternal life is free. John says that God ‟gave His one and only Son” and all we have to do is ‟believe in Him” and we will live eternally. In Acts we are told that if we believe ‟on the Lord Jesus Christ” we will be saved. (Acts 16:31a)
If you receive Jesus into your heart, believe He is your Savior, you will become a child of God and spend eternity in heaven with Him. We need no longer pay the price for our sins, because He ‟gave Himself for our sins.” (Galatians 1:4a) and paid the full price with His death on the cross.
Have you excepted the ‟free gift” of eternal life God is offering you? If you haven’t, now is a great time to accept Jesus as your Savior and ask Him into your heart. Start out this new year with a new life in Christ. It’s easy to do; pray the following words and know He hears you and welcomes you as one of His own.
Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I’m sorry for my sins and sincerely regret my actions. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to cleanse me from my sins. I accept Him as my Lord and Savior and invite Him into my heart and into my life. This I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen
It is time to welcome in a new year; let us commit to making it a joyous and prosperous one.
My resolution for 2011 is to have an optimistic attitude all the time. Last year was challenging for many people. If it is true we are what we think, then by infusing our world with happiness and positive expectation, 2011 will be great.
Are you willing to join me in this new way of thinking? I hope so.
May the blessings of God saturate your life in the coming year.
Happy New Year!
January 2010, a new month, a new year, a new decade; we have a clean slate to write our lives anew. The past is behind us and the future is filled with promise. We have another chance to pursue our hopes and dreams.
Let us rejoice in this unspoiled time; let us mold it in the glory of our living Lord. Let our lives reflect His presence and show His Love.
Let us praise Him in our actions; let us give thanks for His mercy. Let Him fill our lives with His grace.
Let us resolve to live for Jesus and invite Him to live in us.
Thank you for being present in my life. I invite you to live in my heart and bless me in all the things I do. Fill me with your grace and bestow your mercy on me. Guide me in the coming year to always do your will.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Today is the inauguration of Barak Obama. The ceremony was moving, the mood was confident. I enjoyed President Obama’s speech and will remember the call for unity it contained.
I posted the following on another blog, but feel a need to repeat it here.
As President Obama said in his inaugural speech, “the time has come to set aside childish things.” We need to put away our grudges, our “petty grievances,” and choose “hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.” We as one people are challenged to go forward with confidence and power, united in our actions. I believe that all Americans need to come together as one unit and re-build this great country. I ask you all now, join me in welcoming our new President, Barak Obama. We can be assured that today is the start of a new era, a time that will be observed by other countries, let us show them our solidarity.
Until next time, God Bless You.
