Jesus, His Son’s Sacrifice
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God shows his love for us in a lot of ways, but the most important way was giving us His Son, Jesus. The sacrifice of Jesus’s life on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice ever made in the name of love. He did this to show us, even though we are sinners, He loves us and wants us to live in eternity with Him.
A New Life For Believers
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
When we accept Christ we get a new life. 1 John 4:10 says God sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins in order to give us another chance, a new life in Christ.
He Carries Our Troubles
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
God encourages us to cast all our cares on him, because he cares for us. Psalm 68:19 says, Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. God is compassionate. He wants to carry our burdens. He wants us to trust him enough to give our cares to him. He wants us to come to Him like children when something is wrong so He can comfort us.
He Forgives and Forgets
He will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.
God shows His love by forgiving us everyday. On top of that, if we are truly sorry and strive to obey His commandments, He forgets our sins after He’s forgiven them. How awesome is that!?
A Personal Relationship with Believers
In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
There is nothing that we cannot share with God. He is the intimate friend we share everything with. We should go to Him with our problems, our hurts, our pain, and our fears.
2 Timothy 1:9
He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of His own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
Sometimes God blesses us just because he wants to. We have not done anything great or wonderful to deserve the goodness of God, but he sees us as wonderful through the blood of Jesus, and deserving of a blessing.
Healing Our Brokenness
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
God doesn’t want to see us in pain and hurting. He heals our broken bodies and minds. He loves us so much that when we seek him out, he can and will heal.
He Loves Unconditionally
1 John 4:8
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
God’s love overshadows any problems we might experience in our lives. He loves us freely and unconditionally. He gave his most precious Son because of his love for us. His love is the greatest gift to mankind.
